Laurence Julius

Since  retiring, Laurence has been heavily involved in the voluntary sector and is an active honorary trustee for various charities, non for profits and pension funds. Actively engaged in local education, interfaith and anti-radicalisation initiatives, Laurence is chair of the Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) for the Royal Borough of Kensington and  Chelsea and a member of the Prevent Advisory Group. He recently joined the City of London Police Independent Advisory Group.   

During a 40 year career with Deloittes, Shell, Citibank and Standard Chartered, Laurence has extensive risk management, project management and commercial experience including country risk, counterparty risk and transactional risk at a major emerging market bank and as a pension fund trustee for a large hybrid pension fund. 

Laurence has also been championing awareness of the plight of Jews from Arab countries.

Laurence is a graduate chemical engineer and chartered accountant.
